Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
On this trip our primary package was a seven day land and sea Disney World/Disney Cruise adventure. However, we decided to add two additional days at Universal before we started our Disney portion of the trip. For the first two days we stayed in a unremarkable hotel near Universal. It was convenient and had shuttle service to the parks. There are two major theme parks at the Universal complex. Islands of Adventure is a theme park that really has a lot of great thrill rides, many of which are themed to famous movies or TV shows. Julie and I had a great deal of fun riding the great coaster Dueling Dragons and The Incredible Hulk. Universal Studios was the other amusement park we visited. It was more of a movie studio attraction and featured more shows than thrill rides. We enjoyed Back to the Future, Twister and a variety of other shows.
